Crazy Girl aka Tiff McGinnis is a London based audio/ visual artist.
She makes all her own music and videos to accompany. She is currently gearing up for her album/DVD release “Southern Belle From Hell”, on Tummy Touch Records, due out in spring 2008.
Originally from the deep south of Columbus, Georgia, USA – Tiff’s Bible belt upbringing, with fire and brimstone prophecy’s helped ignite her imagination, also being a child of the 70’s she was heavily influenced by psychedelia. Tiff is self-taught with all mediums she works in.
Her videos are like digitized outsider art, with a heavy emphasis on storytelling. They are colourful, twisted, humorous, and thought provoking. Reminiscent of Yellow Submarine and early Terry Gilliam. She has shown her work at Lattitudes, Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK, and Mid-E festival in Spain to name a few. Her very first animation, “High Tide Hell” was watched by the inventor of L.S.D. – Albert Hoffman, on his 100th birthday in Basel, Switzerland, Jan 2006.
