12.May.2011 - 2nd Quarter 2011 - Keeps Gettin' Better 12.May.2011 - 2nd Quarter 2011 - Keeps Gettin' Better

Draw Pictures is proud to announce the addition of award winning director Andy Soup. From Humanzi, to Basement Jaxx to Scissor Sisters and Danii Minogue, Andy has carved out a distinctive style for himself with an eclectic flair only he can produce. We are excited to add him to the team at Draw. His unique style is a welcome addition to Draw's original style of music videos and commercials.

Promo News hails Andy as a truly individual director stating that "For the colourful, camp caper that is Andy Soup’s promo for Kamaliya’s theatrical Playing With Fire, the director gave a bit of insight into the background of the video:

"I never think too much about where a video treatment ends up once it’s escaped from my clutches. I’m usually too busy chasing the next commission or celebrating getting my life back. Anyhow, one of my ideas made its way in front of the eyes of one Phillipp Kirkorov."

Produced by Christopher Salzgeber of Draw Pictures, we knew we had made a good choice on this creative shoot.

Check out his video style here.

Commercials here.

Petro has been a busy bee as usual. He directed 3 edgy, hysterical commercials for Mattel's UNO: Accordion Hero, Beaverball and Master Mime. In addition to that he directed a video for Big Time Rush called Girlfriend and they must have really loved it cause they now air it during every show on Nickelodeon. Petro also directed a video for Indie band Young the Giant and it stayed on the front page of iTunes. Way to go Petro!!!

Elliott Lester just finished directing a video for Michael Franti which was accepted by VH1 on Yahoo music's front page. He also directed a 10 min short film for NOS energy drink's website currently in post production. And we are proud to announce that Elliott's movie BLITZ will release in the UK this month. Keep up the great work Elliott!!! Be sure to keep an eye out for each of these.

08.Jul.2010 - Second Quarter 2010 - Fire It Up08.Jul.2010 - Second Quarter 2010 - Fire It Up

As we move fully into summer and the heat kicks in, Draw fires it up. We've got many things cooking in our kitchen this month.

Petro directed with the illustrious Nikka Costa. Nikka wanted to change things up a bit and comments on how she is an evolving person, with evolving music. Petro delivered exactly what she asked for in this upbeat electro video that slightly mocks our obsession with fame, wealth and power. And we are wrapping out Nickelodeon's huge TV sensation Big Time Rush. Petro directed a video for their new song "City is Ourz." Keep an eye out for this one. Fans anxiously await the video release. Today Petro is shooting a video for Starshell's "Superluva" on Interscope Records. The song is a very catchy electro-pop piece that is sure to be blasting on all the top stations. The video will undoubtedly have you dancing in your living room. It's OK... we know you are... rock on!

Matt Lenski directed Hal Linton's debut single "Mind Control" (Universal/Motown) off the album Return From The Future. Many people compare Hal's music to that of D'Angelo and Maxwell. Matt directed Hal in a warm, sensual style that evokes the feelings of his idol Marvin Gaye. Hal said "Matt Lenski’s treatment and ideas for the video was amazing." We're glad you like it Hal. We think it's a beautiful introduction to what is surely to become Motowns' next great hit!

Felix and Paul shot an intriguing almost vintage style video in 2D and 3D version of "The Saddest Thing I Know" for the eccentric and anomalous Aussie band: Birds of Tokyo. The self titled album releases on July 23, 2010. We have the 2D version of the video here, but if you have some red/green 3D glasses, you'll want to slide those puppies on and sit back for a great treat. Felix & Paul collaborated with the artists to create an innovative process for 3D. Shhh!!! We're not telling any secrets... just yet.

Christopher produced a powerful and movng documentary for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) called "The Fix: Robert Redford Reflects on the Gulf Coast Oil Disaster." With 35, 962 views and growing, please help spread the word. Share the link with family, co-workers and friends of this terrible disaster that has affected so many Americans. If you would like to help please visit NRDC's website.

02.May.2010 - First Quarter 2010 ~ A Boiling Pot02.May.2010 - First Quarter 2010 ~ A Boiling Pot

2010 is already a year of great promise. We are pleased to announce a new president at Draw Pictures. We welcome Christopher Salzgeber, a seasoned producer of some of the finest commercials and music videos and a former director himself, now leading Draw Pictures into what promises to be a robust and flourishing year with Executive Producers Sebastian Kaufmann and Jessica Hundley bestowing their much valued knowledge and creativity as usual.

Matt Lenski has done it again... he just completed a striking photographic performance video with just enough of the grit and sass we come to expect from Eli "Paperboy" Reed (EMI Music). The song "Come On And Get It" is a sexy yet quirky fusion of R&B meets southern soul and Matt was able to capture it in tantalizing visuals. Stayed tuned for the video soon to come. Also, check out his video for Band of Horses "The Funeral." It broke over the 4 million viewer mark on YouTube.

Kenn Macrae directed Erika Heynatz new video for her debut single 'Kingdom' now available on iTunes.
